Rangers Comunale gets the
Call

Boston Rangers goalie Tom Comunale has been
called up by the St. Louis Bandits of the NAHL to finish out the
season with them. “We are very excited and happy for Tom to
have this opportunity” according to GM / Head Coach Bobby
Kinsella.
Bad weather prevents Rangers from reaching
San Jose
February 16th 2010
The Rangers were prepared to travel to San Jose
for the playoff tourney until the bad weather struck the east coast
and caused a travel nightmare. The Rangers had their flights cancelled
and were unable to get another flight until Sunday which resulted
in the Rangers having to withdraw from the playoff tourney.
Rangers and Advantage skate to 2-2 tie
January 24th 2010
The Rangers headed south to Pilgrim Arena to
take on the Boston Advantage Saturday night. After taking a 1 –
0 lead the Rangers fell behind 2-1 going into the 3rd period. With
4 seconds to play and the extra attacker on the ice the Rangers
found the back of the net to even the score at 2-2.
Rangers secure playoff spot in NAPHL championship
tournament
January 19th 2010
The Rangers travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan for
5 games. The Rangers dropped the first two games (Chadders hockey
& Lansing Capitals) of the showcase but battled back to beat
the Florida Panthers Alliance, Mahoning Valley Phantoms, and Pioneer
hockey club. The team lost 4 players to injuries in Michigan but
found a way to secure the playoff spot with 3 straight victories.
Rangers find success in the Granite State
December 14th 2009
The Rangers found themselves in Hudson, NH on
Saturday night for a game with the Northern Mass Cyclones. The Rangers
were able to come away with a 4-3 road win. On Sunday afternoon
the Rangers traveled a bit further north on route 89 to the campus
of New England College in Henniker, NH. The Rangers squared off
with the New England College Pilgrims – JV and were able to
secure an 8-1 victory.
Rangers return from Rochester, NY
December 9th 2009
The Rangers traveled to Rochester, NY for the
third NAPHL showcase of the year. After dropping the first game
of the showcase to the Indy Jr Ice 5-0, the Rangers were able to
come back and beat the Texas Tornado 6-2. The following afternoon
the Rangers topped the St. Louis Selects 3-2 in a shootout. The
Rangers then fell to Omaha AAA 4-1 and Team Maryland 4-3.
NAPHL Partners with FASTHOCKEY to Deliver

TEXAS - The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) and FASTHockey
have announced that almost all of the games at this week’s
tournament, which will be held at the ESL Sports Centre in Rochester,
N.Y., will be available live via the Internet exclusively on FASTHockey.com.
The games will run from Dec. 3-6.
The tournament will be available for viewing live through the FASTHockey

In order to view the games, users will utilize FASTHockey’s

$6.99 with stepped discounts all the way down to $4.99 each for

Rangers Continue Winning Ways
November 12th 2009
The Rangers traveled to Worcester on Saturday
night to faceoff with the Worcester Wildcats junior team. The Rangers
came away with a 7-2 victory. On Sunday the Rangers found themselves
on the road again as took on Bridgton Academy in an afternoon game.
After falling behind early 2-0 the Rangers battled back and won
the game 5-4.
Rangers Find Success in St. Louis
The Rangers traveled to St. Louis over
the weekend to compete in the second NAPHL League Showcase of the
season. The Rangers came away with a 4-1-0 record. The Rangers opened
the weekend with a victory over Team S2. Later in the day the Rangers
fell 6-2 to the Milwaukee Jr Admirals. The Rangers were able to
beat the Green Bay Jr Gamblers 4-2 and then were able to produce
back to back shutout wins over the Marquette Electricians (4-0)
and Florida Panthers Alliance (1-0).
Rangers finish weekend on winning note
The Rangers competed in the Junior Bruins
Shootout over the weekend. The tourney started with a 2-1 loss to
the CP Dynamos and then continued with a 4-4 tie with the Sea Cost
Kings. Saturday brought the Rangers a better showing as they came
away with a 6-3 win over the Ontario Hockey Academy.
Rangers win 3 in Minnesota
The Rangers traveled to Minnesota for the
first NAPHL Showcase. The showcase was played in conjunction with
the NAHL Junior A Showcase at the Schwan Super Rinks in Blaine,
MN. The tournament was evaluated by numerous NHL, Junior A, Major
Junior, and NCAA coaches and scouts. The Rangers scored wins over
the San Jose Jr Sharks, Nevada Stars, and the Carolina JR Hurricanes.
The Rangers did suffer defeats to Pikes Peak and S. Cal Titans.
Rangers head to Junior “A” showcase
this weekend to close out preseason
The Rangers will play the Bridgewater Bandits
of the Eastern Junior Hockey League this Saturday at the 2nd annual
Hub City Hockey Junior “A” Showcase. The Rangers will
then take on Rice Memorial, a new expansion team out of Burlington
Vermont. The Rangers will then head to Blaine, Minnesota next week
for the opening round of league play.
E. Mass Senators Recap
The Rangers spent Labor Day weekend at
the E. Mass Senators tournament. The Rangers went 4-0 in round robin
play with wins over the New England Moose, Wellesley Raiders, Amherst
Knights (NY), and the E. Mass Senators. In the semi final the Rangers
fell to the E. Mass Senators 3-2.
JR Rangers Purchased by MCB Sports
The Boston Jr Rangers Tier 1 Hockey Club
was recently purchased by MCB Sports. The new ownership group has
retained the services of Head Coach and GM Bobby Kinsella as well
as Assistant Coach Mike Kelleher. “With the amazing first
year success of the program we felt it was an opportune time to
purchase the team and help to expand this terrific program”,
said MCB Sports President Mike Condon. “Under the leadership
of Bobby Kinsella we expect great things from our U-18 and U-16
teams”, he added.
The Jr Rangers have expanded their program to include a full season
U-16 team in addition to its very successful U-18 team. The Jr Rangers
are members of the Tier 1 North American Prospects Hockey League,
which includes 20 of the best Midget AAA programs in the United
States. MCB Sports is a division of the internet based computer

Rangers to Join New League
at U18 & U16 Levels
The North American Hockey League announced today the 20 programs
accepted into its new North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL),
which will compete at the Tier I Midget AAA level.
Comprised of five events in which the 36 teams will
compete at the Midget Major (20 teams) and Midget Minor (16 teams)
levels for a league championship, the North American Prospects Hockey
League season will culminate with an NAPHL Top Prospects Tournament
at the NAHL's 2010 Robertson Cup Championship Tournament in late
April.
4 Rangers Selected in NAHL
Entry Draft
The Boston Junior Rangers are proud to
announce that four players from the 2008-09 team were drafted into
the NAHL. Brady Lafrinere, Paul Ziemke, and Tom Condon were drafted
by the Motor City Machine. Kyle Lebrun was selected by the Wichita
Falls Wranglers.
