Matt Smith is no stranger to the Midget AAA hockey ranks. Smith coached the South Shore Dynamos U16 team from 2004-2006. The Dynamos won the Mass Tier 1 State Championship two years in a row and represented Massachusetts at the National Tournament in 2005 and 2006. Smith said he is thrilled to be taking the leap into
the Midget AAA ranks with his good friend Bobby Kinsella. "Our
player development model will be one of the top in North America,
we will develop the whole player: physically, mentally and athletically."
"Bobby and I have always wanted to work together.
We have coached a lot of talented kids in various parts of our coaching
careers (click here for
our alumni list ) and we both feel there are a lot of hockey
players that will do whatever it takes to get themselves to the
next level. Whether that is juniors or college, we want to
provide a program that will help them reach their goals."
Matt currently resides in Abington, MA. with his
wife Amy and their son Cam. Matt and Amy are expecting their
second child in July.
