Select NAPHL Games in San Jose

FRISCO, TEXAS – The North
American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced
that games played on the East, North and South rinks
at the upcoming NAPHL Championship Tournament Series
at Sharks Ice in San Jose, Calif., will be broadcast
live via the Internet through B2 Networks.
Each game can be viewed for $7. Fans wanting to watch
the games will need a high-speed Internet connection
and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player.

Archived games will be available for electronic download
on B2 on Demand (http://www.b2tv.com). Viewers can
click the “On Demand” tab and select the
game or games they want to purchase.
The tournament, in which the top eight teams in the
standings in each the U18 and U16 divisions will play
in the Gold Championship Series while the remaining
eight teams in each division will compete in the Silver
Consolations Series, will be held from February 12-15.

Rangers Announce full season
u-16 team for 2010-11 season

The Boston Jr Rangers are proud
to announce the formation of a full U-16 team for
the 2010 – 2011 hockey season. The team will
be a member of the North American Prospects Hockey
League( Error! Hyperlink reference not valid. with
the u-18 team. The U-16 team will play a 60 game schedule
against the top teams in the USA and Canada. The coaching
staff along with tryout times and dates will be announced
shortly.

The Rangers headed south to Pilgrim
Arena to take on the Boston Advantage Saturday night.
After taking a 1 – 0 lead the Rangers fell behind
2-1 going into the 3rd period. With 4 seconds to play
and the extra attacker on the ice the Rangers found
the back of the net to even the score at 2-2.
Rangers secure playoff spot

The Rangers travel to Ann Arbor,
Michigan for 5 games. The Rangers dropped the first
two games (Chadders hockey & Lansing Capitals)
of the showcase but battled back to beat the Florida
Panthers Alliance, Mahoning Valley Phantoms, and Pioneer
hockey club. The team lost 4 players to injuries in
Michigan but found a way to secure the playoff spot
with 3 straight victories.
Texas Tornado tender Svoboda

The Boston Jr Rangers are proud
to announce that the Texas Tornado a member of the
NAHL has signed Rangers’ forward Spencer Svoboda
to a tender for the 2010-2111 hockey season. Svoboda
is a 6’2” 220lbs right wing from Pittsburgh,
PA.

The
Moncton Wildcats today announced the signing of 18-year-old
defenseman Tyler Howe. From the Boston area, he saw
action this season in the Saskatchewan Junior A hockey
league with the Melville Millionaires. He had 5 assists
and 119 penalty minutes during his time with Melville.
Howe, is six feet, six inches tall and weights 230
pounds, he'll will wear jersey number 4, when he dresses
for the Wildcats in tomorrow night's 7 o'clock game
against the Halifax Mooseheads.

Rangers find success in the
Granite State

The Rangers found themselves in
Hudson, NH on Saturday night for a game with the Northern
Mass Cyclones. The Rangers were able to come away
with a 4-3 road win. On Sunday afternoon the Rangers
traveled a bit further north on route 89 to the campus
of New England College in Henniker, NH. The Rangers
squared off with the New England College Pilgrims
– JV and were able to secure an 8-1 victory.
Rangers return from Rochester,
NY

The Rangers traveled to Rochester,
NY for the third NAPHL showcase of the year. After
dropping the first game of the showcase to the Indy
Jr Ice 5-0, the Rangers were able to come back and
beat the Texas Tornado 6-2. The following afternoon
the Rangers topped the St. Louis Selects 3-2 in a
shootout. The Rangers then fell to Omaha AAA 4-1 and
Team Maryland 4-3.

Three time defending NAHL champions
St. Louis Bandits have tendered goalie Tom Comunale
for the 2010 - 2011 season. Comunale a native of Pittsburgh,
PA is in his first year with the Rangers. The St.
Louis Bandits are coached by 13 year NHL defensemen
Jeff Brown. The Bandits ownership group consists of
NHL Hall of Famer Brett Hull, NHL Veteran Kelly Chase
and current NHL player Ben Bishop.
Rangers Continue Winning Ways

The Rangers traveled to Worcester
on Saturday night to faceoff with the Worcester Wildcats
junior team. The Rangers came away with a 7-2 victory.
On Sunday the Rangers found themselves on the road
again as took on Bridgton Academy in an afternoon
game. After falling behind early 2-0 the Rangers battled
back and won the game 5-4.
Two Ranger’s sign tenders
in the NAHL

Cory Pelligreno and Hunter Cherni
have both signed tenders with the Springfield Jr Blues
of the NAHL for the 2010-2111 hockey season. Pelligreno
a center and also the team captain is from Pittsburgh,
PA is in his second year with the Rangers. Cherni
a left wing and native of Cleveland, Ohio is a first
year player with the Rangers. Former Ranger Joe Purull
is a member of the Springfield Jr Blues as well. |
